Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-25. Signed-in users accept these terms during onboarding.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Marine Parts Search (the "Service"). By clicking "I Agree" or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service helps marine-industry professionals identify parts and compare price, availability, and lead time across suppliers. Part-number identification, pricing, and stock information are produced by automated tools and AI and are provided for convenience only.
3. Eligibility & accounts
The Service is intended for users engaged in a commercial marine-industry business. You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are granted at our discretion and may be declined or revoked.
4. Authorization to access your supplier accounts
You may provide credentials for third-party vendor/supplier accounts you control. You authorize the Service to sign in to those accounts on your behalf solely to retrieve pricing, availability, and related product information for your searches. You represent that you are entitled to grant this access and that doing so does not violate your agreements with those suppliers. You can remove stored credentials at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: reselling or redistributing data obtained through it; using it to violate a supplier's terms, scrape at abusive volumes, or circumvent access controls; attempting to breach security; or using it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Accuracy & your responsibility
Part numbers, prices, stock levels, lead times, and images are estimates generated by automated means and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are solely responsible for verifying part fitment, price, and availability with the supplier before purchasing. The Service is a research aid, not a substitute for your professional judgment, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a supplier.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or procurement of substitute goods, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including reliance on any part number, price, or availability shown. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid in the prior twelve months or US$100.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your supplier credentials and authorizations, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Privacy & data
We store the information you provide and operational data needed to run and secure the Service. Supplier credentials are encrypted at rest and are not shown back to you or exposed through the interface. We keep security and audit logs (including IP address and browser) to protect the Service and to record your acceptance of these Terms. We use a single, strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in — we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. For full detail on what we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. 6–9) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will require you to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the Service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and the Service operator agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be the state and federal courts located in Texas, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
